About James Innes
James Innes is the Founder and Managing Director of The CV Centre – the UK’s leading CV consultancy.
Following more than a decade of experience heading up The CV Centre, James is widely considered to be one of the UK’s leading careers experts. He regularly participates at recruitment fairs and conferences as a sought-after guest speaker, as well as being interviewed on TV and radio. Moreover, he is the author of a trilogy of best-selling careers books: ‘The CV Book', ‘The Interview Book' and ‘Brilliant Cover Letters'. His fourth book, 'The New Job Book' will be published in 2011.
James is currently based in France and the USA, working on the expansion of The CV Centre into those territories.
Autodidactic, James left school at 14 and worked in fields as diverse as teaching, construction and journalism before moving into the recruitment and employment sector, creating his first company in his early twenties. Besides The CV Centre he is involved in a number of other enterprises, both in the UK and abroad.
James Innes’s Interests
James’s interests include natural history (especially biodiversity and the origin of life), physics (especially quantum and astrophysics), history of music/cinema/art, photography, architecture and Buddhist philosophy.
